I work at a wedding venue. Woodlands was the caterer this past weekend. I absolutely loved their fresh BBQ. Everything they had was absolutely amazing. The owners and their daughter where some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I strongly recommend the catering service!!

The best ribs in town. And the Burger is definitely A +++. We love the atmosphere and service

I've been coming here for over 15 years. It is always the place I stop at when I have a trip to the mountains. Simply the best BBQ and brisket!

Best BBQ place I've ever found. You have to definitely try this place. Reasonable prices and wonderful staff. We were vacationing and passing by and will definitely visit again.

I can't say anything bad about Woodlands..I try to eat here as often as I can. The food is great, the wait staff is super nice and quick with your food. Definitely worth the wait if you get there at a busy time

This place is a must stop in Blowing Rock..... The food is priced cheaper then anything you will find up there and the BBQ is amazing. All the sides our table ordered were spot on and the dessert was amazing.

Very good down home food in a cozy clean environment. Our server (Britt) was attentive and knowledgeable of the restaurant's options. I'll def be back whenever I'm in the area.

I loved everything about this place. If I could give 10 stars, I would. We overlooked it at first because, from the outside, it does not look like much. But please do not let that fool you. Fortunately for me, I read the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. And oh my goodness, I'm so glad I did. The ribs were amazing, fall off the bone, delicious! The collard greens were Southern perfection. The coke slaw was creamy with the right amount of spices. I took a chance and ordered an Old Fashioned from the bar, and the bartender nailed it. Another perfection. Nicole was our waitress and was amazing. Very sweet, kept our glasses filled, and checked on us as needed. Everyone there was super friendly. I absolutely will be going back whenever we are up in the area. I very much so recommend this place!

The BBQ...ive never had BBQ like that in my whole life!! It literally melted in your mouth. All of it was amazing. I will be back. It was my first time to Blowing Rock!

Everything was delicious! We had the chopped brisket tray and the chopped pork tray. The best bbq we’ve had! Even the sweet tea was amazing!

Awesome authentic southern barbeque!The meat is smoked to perfection. The staff is friendly, competent and fun! The atmosphere is casual southern country. Can't beat it!

So so good! Our waitress was hustling since it was slammed, but did a great job. We both got the pulled pork tray with slaw and hush puppies and it was delicious.

Had our wedding reception catered and it was amazing. So much food and absolutely delicious. They set up, served and cleaned. Couldn’t have been easier. Great prices. They bring plates, utensils, cups and ice.

The pork sandwich I ordered was cold, very poor in flavor. The sauces are watered down and wasn’t impressed with Lays chips for a side.. wouldn’t recommend.When it comes to BBQ The Peddlin Pig is gonna be your best choice

Service was excellent. Food was very good. My only complaint is that they had no chairs to sit in. They have picnic style tables where the benches cannot move as the entire table and benches are one piece. This is not very comfortable for persons of size. Anyway, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves BBQ and brisket.

Honestly, the best wings I've ever had. I ate there in 2002 and had the best wings. They were the kind with the red pepper flakes. I have been telling people about you for 18 years and dreaming about my return.

Always a great experience. They were out of slaw which I always order but I truly enjoyed it anyway. Very sweet and attentive waitress😁

It seems like I've been eating there for at least 20 years, and never had a bad meal or service. Great smoke flavor and really good slaw. BBQ atmosphere too.

Food was great and the service was super. Liked the pulled pork better then the Baby Back Ribs they were a bit dry so my server took them back and I ask for the Pulled Pork and it was awesome. I will go back

Absolutely, unequivocally the best BBQ in the High Country! Compares to the "officially best BBQ in NC" from Lexington, NC. Well worth the drive from Boone or the surrounding areas to Blowing Rock, just to have Woodlands BBQ! Was my time and many more are in my future!

Great BBQ. Loved their cobblers. They're a must try. If they're really busy, it can be a little slow getting the food out, but that's to be expected. Wait staff great at covering the tables.

OMG Great BBQ doesn't do this food justice, I would stack this food up against anyone's BBQ! And live music that is worth listening to.

Absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere, amazingly friendly and attentive staff. Awesome food, you definitely get your money's worth. I went with my mother and two kids and it was very family friendly. Also great live music!!!

The BBQ meats here are excellent: very flavorful, fall off the bone/fork tender complimented by very good sauces you can add. The sides were a mixed bag: fries and greens were great; hush puppies were borderline burnt and greasy and the coleslaw bland and watery. Wait staff could not answer questions about menu items and rather than ask a more senior staff member for help the questions were met with a shrug. If you are a tall person, get your order to go. Why? All the tables and benches are screwed/fastened to the floor and can't be moved. For me, this had to be the most uncomfortable restaurant I have ever dined at since I'm 6'4" and the cramped seating is on par with airline coach seating.

Great sliced brisket. Comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely go back the next time we're in Blowing Rock.

The portions are awesome. My friend and I ordered the pig out for two and we had to pack it to go. We just couldn't finish it. So delicious check it out on your way to or from Appalachian Ski Mountain.

The Woodlands was recommended to us by someone and we took there suggestion. The restaurant itself does not look like much from the road and the parking is not great. It is mostly at the bottom of a big hill. That is understandable in the mountains but they need more handicap spaces in front of the restaurant so those people who are unable are not forced to climb the hill. The restaurant seemed cramped. Everything is sectioned off in small areas. The girl who initially tried to seat us wanted 2 elderly people to walk down the stairs for seating. Once the seating was worked out our server was great. She kept up with drink refills and the food came relatively quickly. The prices were average. I felt my food was ok. It wasn't phenomenal as the person who recommended the restaurant suggested.

The best restaurant of the high country.. No joke you won't be disappointed... Get the corn nuggets. Or the wing bucket... Also you can't go wrong with a large chopped BBQ plate!!!

Absolutely the worst BBQ I've had in years. Woodlands what happened? Ordered brisket, arrived Luke warm. No bark, no flavor. Paper plates and plastic cutlery... Are u kidding? Waitress only checked on us when we were done eating. Horrible experience! Go to pedalin pig.

This place has really good food, a definite variety, fast and friendly service. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the fries were cold when they were brought out. That wouldn’t stop me from eating here again, though. Delicious chopped brisket.

Usually pretty good. Must've been an off day. Service was good as usual but the food was not even hot.

My family and I were in blowing rock for a quick over night trip. We was looking for somewhere affordable and locally owned. The minute I smelled the food I told my husband this smells like my grandmama’s cooking. My grandma has been passed for 26 years, but I’ve never forgot that smell. The food tasted as good as it smelled. A ton of food for a very reasonable price. Will defiantly be back! Even if I come to Blowing Rock just for the green beans and collar greens! 😋

Everything on the menu seems to be great here. Great BBQ, and generous portion sizes. Live music is always a treat here too. I always make a stop when making trips to Boone. I highly recommend checking this place out.

The food was great. I got the a burger and it was huge and delicious. Waitress was very attentive, as well. Has a relaxed atmosphere.

BBQ didn't live up to the standards of other restaurants in the area. Comes very dry and needs a lot of sauce. Service was ok, however our server paid more attention to the other tables around us. Two groups that came in after us got their food first. Warning, this restaurant only has picnic table seating. Benches are 2x6's. If you are a person of size you'll definitely be uncomfortable.

Best BBQ in the Boone area! They're local and they've been around forever so you know you'll be treated right.

This place is absolutely awesome some of the best barbecue ribs and their chicken wings are as big as a chicken excellent little time weighted but well worth the wait

Best barbeque I've ever had in my life!! As a NC native that's saying a lot! I currently live in Florida and don't get to make my way up too often, you guys should sell and ship your sauce and t-shirts!!! Pleeeease.

We went there for dinner on a Saturday night, with our 2 year old and 4 year old. We were very quickly seated. A minutes later, our very friendly waitress came up. The food was out 5 short minutes after ordering (which is so helpful with little ones!) and the service was amazing! The food was so great, some of the best pork BBQ, slaw and beans I've ever had. This place is a gem! We'll make a point to stop here every time we're in the area now!

It was a bit of a drive from our home but I was at Tweetsie with my youngest child. It had been 5 years or more since we had been to eat here. We went about 4:30 so it was an odd time but no wait and super service. Food was fantastic.

Last night when we arrived we were informed they were out of chopped pork and short ribs, but we decided to stay and try the brisket and other options on the menu. When I arrived home I immediately started feeling ill, and began to throw up and have the worst stomach pain I have ever felt in my life accompanied with what one could imagine would happen as a result of my stomach flopping over on itself trying to evacuate the aforementioned Brisket plate that I had ingested, and had undoubtedly food poisoned me. I will not be back and nor will my family I understand that you had run out of the main dinner option most people come there for but for me to get food poisoning is just something I cannot allow myself to go through again.
